Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Controller supporting Large Engine assembly and test in Rolls-Royce.
In this role you will operate within a physical logistics environment supporting the business and working closely with nominated logistics providers to operate and continuously improve processes.
The role centres around a number of key principles and capabilities including material flow design, lineside logistics and the deployment of Plan For Every Part methodology to generate end-to-end value in the supply chain.
What you will be doing:
- Put Safety first and ensure all processes comply with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards and align with the Zero Harm programme
- Ensure quality standards are adhered to in accordance with business requirements and maintain product safety. Robustly investigate and follow-up and resolve any concerns raised
- Review material flow design to optimise lineside logistics and replenishment processes including material handling technology and other digital solutions
- Develop the outbound Plan for Every Part, including but not limited to parts presentation and the design and manufacture of kitting media
- Plan and manage improvement activities including scheduling, resources, cost, risk, and stakeholder communication
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration including Planning and Control, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and Procurement to deliver process improvement
- Build strong working relationships with external partners and suppliers to achieve objectives
- Technical lead for kitting control and definition, data integrity and change management
- To operate to the relevant policies and procedures as defined and comply with Rolls-Royce Management System
Position Qualifications:
- Relevant experience of internal logistics processes and systems
- Has consistently delivered results within a logistics or operations environment
- Has experience of controlling logistics services in a 3PL environment
- Proven history of process compliance and data integrity
- Understanding of different roles / functions / processes
