Job Title: Supply Chain Security Assurance - Submarines

Working location: Raynesway, Derby


The Supply Chain Security Assurance Role is a development role within the Supply Chain Security Team within Rolls Royce Submarines.  Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Security Manager, the role will be mentored by senior team members covering all aspects of the Supply Chain Security Function.  Development opportunities will be available in this role with a view to the role maturing into a SQEP Supply Chain Security Officer.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location.  It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement.  As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

What you will be doing:

  • Engagement with suppliers including external site visits and assuring against their security requirements.
  • Acting as a point of contact for all supply chain matters required based against the classification of the information.
  • Support the Supply Chain Security Manager, develop and maintain the physical and cyber security standards and all associated procedures.
  • Act as the supply chain security planner for visits based against risk and security assurance plan.
  • Maintain relevant databases.
  • Assist with the coordination and administration of security breaches and incident investigation and maintain appropriate records and reports of any breaches within the supply chain.
  • Assist in the process for the transport of all classified documents, components and products when moving between Rolls-Royce and the supply chain.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of administration of databases and other reporting methods.
  • A knowledge of security controls associated with Government Classified Information would be beneficial.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance.  Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.

Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.

As part of our selection process, candidates in certain locations may be asked to complete an online assessment, which can include cognitive and behavioural aptitude testing relevant to the role. If required, full instructions for the next steps will be provided.
